This is the only song featured on this LP written by Mike Tod. “Back To My Home” features two banjos–one plays the melody and the other strums the off-beat. The melody was inspired by the old-time banjo tune “Banjo Roustabout,” which has been played by many banjo songsters including Fred Cockerham and Dink Roberts, though Dink called
the tune “Buffalo.” It’s a repetitive, trance-inducing melody with an angry undertone and lyrics that capture a deep longing to return to times and places where things were good.
